Candidate’s Statement:
When our union siblings win, we all win. That’s why I’m running—to support solutions that empower our members and strengthen our solidarity. I believe in win‐win solutions like clear telework policies, strong safety protections, comprehensive caretaker rights, and healthcare benefits that support workers, serve the public, and save money.
My experience as a climate activist, CAPE delegate, and current Bargaining Team member has taught me that the best outcomes come from engaging those directly affected. I believe in listening deeply, lifting up vulnerable voices, and fostering creativity in problem‐solving. A strong union values both wisdom from experience and fresh perspectives.
Before joining Public Works five years ago, I spent eight years in private consulting—I know what it’s like to work without a union. Now, in my enterprise‐wide role in PW’s Sustainability Office, I see how much stronger we are when our voices are united. My work on the Bargaining Team has also broadened my understanding of the diverse departments CAPE represents.
I’m driven by hope: that labor power is the thread connecting the challenges we face—social, financial, political, and environmental. Movements begin with knowledge—of our history, of the people’s power, and of our ability to shape a better future. Let’s keep building a union that works for all of us.
Solidarity forever. Thank you for your vote—and please consider recommending me to your colleagues.
