Even though most L.A. County employees may not be directly impacted by the federal government shutdown, many of our friends, neighbors, and family members are feeling its effects, including disruptions to CalFresh benefits that help provide food to families across our communities.
As public servants and union members, we have a chance to make a difference. Let’s stand together in compassion and solidarity to help those in need.
