Candidate’s Statement:
To my CAPE Union Colleagues,
I am honored to announce my candidacy for reelection to CAPE’s Board of Directors.
As an employee of the Los Angeles County Assessor’s Office, I understand the unique challenges faced by our members in an ever-changing work environment. However, during my first year as your CAPE President, my commitment has always been to represent every
department and every member equally, with one voice and one purpose: improving the lives of the workers who keep Los Angeles County running.
Over the past term, I have worked to advocate for fair contracts, stronger workplace protections, and the respect that public employees deserve. While some progress has been made, there is still much more work to do.
If reelected, I will continue fighting for better wages that keep pace with what has been an almost injurious rise in the cost of living, while striving towards improved working conditions, and contracts that recognize the value of our members’ service to the public. I will continue a
commitment that our union’s Board of Directors remains accessible, transparent, and dedicated to ensuring that every member’s voice is heard at the bargaining table.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we are CAPE. I respectfully ask for your support and your
vote so we can continue building a stronger future for all CAPE members across Los Angeles
County.
