- Department: Office of the Assessor
- Classification: Supervising Appraiser
- County Employment Years: 12.5
- CAPE Member Years: 12.5
Candidate’s Statement:
2024 marks CAPE’s 60th anniversary, and more than ever, County employees need union leadership who can bring people together to work towards a better future. If elected, I will strive to improve compensation, working conditions, continuing education, and quality of life for all of our members, with a special focus on those of our members at the beginning or midpoint of their County careers.
I have worked for government agencies since 2003, when I started working as a city planner alongside building inspectors, traffic engineers, and other public sector professionals. In 2011, I switched careers to appraisal for the LA County Office of the Assessor.
I have served on the Board of professional organizations such as the International Association of Assessment Officers (IAAO), the American Planning Association (APA), and the Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP). I have also served on the City of South Pasadena’s Planning Commission and General Plan Update committee. Now, with unfair attacks on public sector unions becoming more prevalent, I am seeking to serve a fourth term as a member of the CAPE Board of Directors.
