The results from the LACERA election are in, and we have some incredible news to share.
Nicole Mi has won BOTH the LACERA Board of Investments and Board of Retirement seats!
CAPE ran a highly targeted campaign, and CAPE members turned out in a big way. Nicole won each race by more than 2,000 votes. Our members showed up, and our support helped make a real difference in these important elections.
LACERA is one of the most important institutions for CAPE members because its decisions directly impact our retirement security and benefits. Now, we have one of our own CAPE members representing County employees on both LACERA Boards.
That is a tremendous achievement for Nicole, for CAPE, and for all of our members.
Nicole has asked us to share how immensely grateful she is for the incredible support she received from her union. She truly feels she could not have done this without CAPE members and the CAPE Board and staff standing behind her.
