Professional Employees Endorse Herb Wesson

Following interviews of all three front-runner candidates in the 2nd District Board of Supervisors election, the CAPE Political Endorsement Committee recommended endorsing Los Angeles City Council President Herb Wesson to succeed Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas who will be completing his last term as County Supervisor.

CAPE President Carlos Clayton said that all three candidates presented exceptionally well, but the depth of knowledge and dedication to CAPE members' interests made Wesson the perfect candidate to support.

"It's very rare that we see a candidate with Mr. Wesson's wealth of County experience," Clayton said.  "He knows about our departments, he knows about our jobs, and he spoke enthusiastically about taking on the many challenges that face LA County."

Mr. Wesson will be on the March 2020 Primary Election Ballot in the 2nd Supervisorial District serving South Los Angeles, Mid-City, Culver City, Lynwood and parts of the Southeast Gateway cities.
